What Is Salvage County?

Salvage County is an open-world scrapyard sandbox game where players explore the city, find scrap, load their truck, and sell what they collect at the scrapyard.

The game is built around a simple but fun loop: choose your player, pick your starter truck, search the city for valuable scrap, load what fits in your truck bed, and bring it back to the scrapyard before leaving the game.

Salvage County is currently in beta. That means the game is still being tested, improved, and updated. Players may see unfinished features, bugs, long loading times, or systems that change as development continues.

How To Play

Start scrapping in Salvage County. Choose your player, pick your starter truck, search the city, load what fits, sell your scrap, and save before you leave.

1

Choose Your Player

Create or load your account, choose your player character, and enter Salvage County.

2

Select Your Starter Truck

Choose the truck you want to use when you start scrapping. Your truck is how you haul scrap back to the yard.

3

Search The City

Drive around alleys, buildings, dumpsters, neighborhoods, and lots to find scrap around the city.

4

Load What Fits

Pick up scrap and load it into your truck bed. Bigger items take more room, so pack smart.

5

Sell Before You Leave

Take your scrap to the scrapyard scale and sell it for fictional in-game Salvage County Dollars.

6

Save Your Progress

Use the save and logout system before leaving so your account progress can be saved.

Multiplayer Testing

Multiplayer systems are being worked on so players can eventually share the same hosted world.

Scrap Types

Salvage County includes different kinds of scrap that may have different weight, space, and value inside the game.

Steel Scrap

Common ferrous scrap such as steel pieces, frames, and heavy metal items.

Copper Scrap

More valuable non-ferrous scrap such as copper wire, copper pieces, and copper materials.

Aluminum

Lightweight non-ferrous scrap that can include aluminum parts and metal pieces.

E-Waste

Electronic scrap such as computer parts, boards, and discarded electronics.

Appliances

Bigger scrap items may take up more room in your truck and require careful loading.

Mixed Scrap

Some areas may contain random scrap piles or mixed items that players can collect and sell.

Truck Loading System

Physical Loading

Players collect scrap by hand and place it into the truck bed. The game detects cargo that is inside the bed.

Limited Space

The starter truck has limited space, so players must choose what to take and what to leave behind.

Drive Carefully

Bad loading or rough driving can make hauling harder. Good scrappers pack smarter and drive better.

Future Updates

Future updates may improve truck handling, cargo limits, trailers, dump beds, and heavier vehicles.

Scrapyard Selling System

Scrapyard Scale

Bring scrap to the scrapyard selling area and turn your load into fictional in-game Salvage County Dollars.

Different Values

Different scrap types may have different in-game values. The goal is to find better scrap and haul more efficiently.

Important Currency Notice

Salvage County Dollars are fictional game currency only. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, transferred, redeemed, exchanged, or cashed out.
