Version History

Patch Notes

A running log of what's changed in the Salvage County beta. Newest builds first. Because we're in active development, versions land often and systems keep evolving.

Beta 0.3 — "Steady Hauls"

Added

  • Live server status indicator wired to the site so players can see when a shared world is online.
  • In-game refresh option on the loader to force a fresh download after a new build.

Improved

  • Truck handling under load — braking and cornering feel more predictable with a full bed.
  • Cargo bed detection tightened so items count more reliably as "loaded."
  • Loader performance and caching for faster repeat visits.

Fixed

  • Certain scrap items no longer pop out of the bed over minor bumps.
  • Save/logout flow is more reliable at persisting balance and owned vehicles.

Known issues

  • Multiplayer movement can stutter under load; vehicle/cargo sync is still being hardened.
  • First-time load is large and can take a while on slower connections.
  • Voice chat is unfinished and may change.

Beta 0.2 — "Open For Testing"

Added

  • Physics-based truck loading: cargo is now a real object in the bed with weight.
  • Expanded scrap variety across steel, copper, aluminum, e-waste, appliances, and mixed piles.
  • Early hosted multiplayer sessions for internal and community testing.

Improved

  • Scrapyard selling feedback and payout clarity.
  • City scrap spawning coverage across more districts.

Fixed

  • Several cases where scrap could be collected but not registered for sale.
  • Assorted loading and stability issues on first launch.

Beta 0.1 — "First Drive"

Added

  • The core loop: choose a character, pick a truck, find scrap, load, sell, and save.
  • Account system with save/load for balance, character, and owned vehicles.
  • The scrapyard scale and fictional in-game Salvage County Dollars.
  • First playable open-world city built for scrapping.
